From the first beat, it was clear that Omar Rudberg’s "Every Night Fantasy Tour" at SWG3 TV Studio in Glasgow would be a night to remember. The air crackled with anticipation as fans packed the venue, ready to witness the Swedish-Venezuelan sensation in his first proper UK solo headline tour. What followed was just over an hour of dynamic choreography, breathtaking vocals, and an artist radiating charisma while owning the stage.

Say Now

The night kicked off with an explosive opening set by the fantastic rising girl group Say Now, who wasted no time hyping the crowd. Despite only playing for 25 minutes, their set was a thrilling blend of pop and electronic beats, and their gorgeous, smooth harmonies combined with the high-energy choreography kept the audience on their feet.

One of my favourite moments came when they surprised the almost sold-out crowd with a spectacular Britney Spears mashup, seamlessly blending your favourite 2000s pop classics with their new-age sound with the entire venue screaming every word and jumping for joy from start to finish. Another standout moment was the live debut of their upcoming single "Don't Text Don't Call", during which the girls started some crowd participation as they screamed the highly catchy hook back to them.

By the time Say Now's set concluded, I overheard fans stating, "That was insane." I also saw several posts online stating they were the best support act ever, so it was clear the audience was thoroughly impressed. They were all set for their angel, Omar, to grace the stage.

Then came the main event, the moment everybody was waiting for. The clock struck 8:30, and the first notes of “Bye Bye” filled the venue. Omar made his grand entrance, exuding charisma and confidence. Dressed in a sleek custom outfit, he quickly commanded the stage, seamlessly transitioning into a mashup of “Yo Dije OUFF” and a fiery cover of Cardi B’s “I Like It.” From that moment on, it was evident that Omar's fanbase would make the first night of the tour the best and most memorable, especially in Glasgow. Every lyric was passionately shouted back at him as he danced with ease. His undeniable stage presence captivated everyone, and he performed with the biggest, most adorable smile on his face.

A standout moment of the night was the highly anticipated live debut of the brand new single, “I'm Not a Boy", which showcased Omar’s artistic development, emotional depth and personal storytelling. The momentum continued with a heartfelt performance of “Lose Me” and “Talk,” leading into an unexpected show-stopping performance of Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” a tribute to his favourite artist and something no one saw coming, despite several people on stan Twitter asking for it previously.

Omar Rudberg's impeccable vocal range was a standout feature of his performance, as he effortlessly flowed between emotional ballads and high-energy infectious anthems. But somehow, despite his talent, Omar remains criminally underrated, often overshadowed by more mainstream artists. This is insane to me, considering he certainly is a jack-of-all-trades, previously starring in Netflix's hit series 'Young Royals' alongside Edvin Rydings.

During the show, Omar expressed his gratitude to fans and reflected on his journey from FO&O to a solo artist. Glasgow has a special place in his heart, mainly because it's where he once had the incredible opportunity to open up for The Vamps. That experience made the city feel truly special to him. As he kicked off the "Every Night Fantasy Tour," the energy was palpable, showcasing how far he’s come in his career.

The energy reignited with an electrifying performance of “Moving Like That,” followed by a stunning rendition of “It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane,” a touching tribute to his Swedish musical roots. This was followed by the dreamy “She Fell In Love In The Summer,” which kept the audience captivated before he launched into the fan favourites “Dum” and “Happier,” bringing them to a euphoric high.

In conclusion, Omar Rudberg’s return to Glasgow for the "Every Night Fantasy Tour" was a brilliant display of showmanship and musical talent. He truly knows how to engage his audience, balancing electrifying performances with heartfelt moments.

With his dynamic stage presence and dazzling choreography, Omar Rudberg has solidified his status as one of the most exciting performers, and those who experienced his show in Glasgow can confidently say he is easily among the best male artists today. He deserves just as much recognition as fellow Swedish superstar Zara Larsson, who was previously on the same record label. If you ever get to see Omar live, I highly recommend you do it as soon as possible because I can see him hitting arena-level fame in no time.
