Sponsored by Rockstar Energy – Reading and Leeds Festival is back in 2024 with a bangin’ line-up you won’t want to miss. We’ve been lucky enough to be picked to cover Leeds this year, and our team here at Gigraphy have already had the pleasure of shooting some of the amazing artists on the bill.

We thought we’d take a trip down memory lane, as well as share the acts you should consider watching this year.

1. Lambrini Girls

Stage: Festival Republic stage

Day: Saturday 24th August

We discovered Lambrini Girls back when we covered Pigs x7 in Manchester. Hailing from Brighton, Lambrini Girls are a female duo that embodies punk to its core. Known for their iconic performance in their original track "Help Me I'm Gay" Phoebe Lunny (vocalist and guitarist) fearlessly steps into the crowd to connect with fans and show her support for bi, gay, and trans individuals. This heartfelt interaction really showcases their inclusive vibe, and it's clear that they genuinely appreciate their audience and create a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re after a band that challenges the norm and (quite literally) gets in your face, Lambrini Girls are a must-see.

2. Pendulum

Stage: Main stage

Day: Friday 23rd August

If rock, D&B, electronic rock and dance are your jam, then Pendulum is a must-see at Leeds Festival this year. The Perth-based cohort has a knack for captivating audiences with their unique blend of abrasive rock and melodic drum and bass to create an electrifying live experience. From the high-octane energy of tracks like "Halo" and "Mercy Killing" to the nostalgic vibes of "Tarantula" - Pendulum's shows are a thrilling celebration of their mastery in blending genres. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of the chance to witness their magnetic stage presence and their ability to defy musical boundaries in real-time.

See the Pendulum gallery here.

3. Ashnikko

Stage: BBC Radio 1 stage

Day: Friday 23rd August

Known for her abrasive, feminist and loud energy, the famed “Daisy” singer is bound to be a highlight for many this year. Ashnikko toured the UK at the back end of last year to promote her WEEDKILLER album, which was a serious hit among new and day-one fans alike. We hope to see their genre-bending performance feature new and iconic old tracks!

4. Courting

Stage: Main stage

Day: Sunday 25th August

Courting is definitely a band to keep an eye out for this year. Having only formed a couple of years ago, they've already made quite a name for themselves as "ones to watch”, especially in the live scene. In fact, they once did a whole wedding-themed performance in Liverpool that had everyone talking.

Their latest album, "New Last Name," along with tracks from "Guitar Music," really showcases their unique style that blends genres in a way that's kind of like a mix of Blink-182 and Murder Capital. It's a real treat for fans of those respective bands.

5. Big Special

Stage: Festival Republic stage

Day: Saturday 24th August

Big Special, a Midlands-based punk powerhouse brought their debut album, "POSTINDUSTRIAL HOMETOWN BLUES," to Manchester's Deaf Institute back in May of this year and absolutely blew us away with their unique blend of poetry and some serious punk rock. Joe Kichlen and Callum Mallony generally present a rather stripped-down setup to allow their dark, intense, and angry messages to shine through, especially on tracks like "Desperate Breakfast" and "Shithouse." For fans of acts like IDLES, Sleaford Mods, or Rag 'n' Bone Man, you absolutely can't miss Big Special's unique style and electrifying stage presence that’ll grace Leeds Fest.

6. G Flip

Stage: BBC Radio 1 stage

Day: Saturday 24th August

You really won’t want to miss G Flip at Leeds Fest this year. Melbourne-born but based in LA, G Flip is a multi-talented force to be reckoned with, captivating audiences globally with their indie-pop sound driven by amazing instrumentals. G Flip's journey has been nothing short of amazing, starting with uploading their hit "About You" to Triple J Unearthed and then going on to win the ARIA Emerging Artist Scholarship and Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year. They’re one to watch!

See our G Flip gallery here.

7. The Amity Affliction

Stage: Festival Republic stage

Day: Saturday 24th August

The Amity Affliction are a must-see for metalcore and post-hardcore crowds. At the back end of last year, they did a run celebrating the 10th anniversary of their epic album "Let The Ocean Take Me". Hailing all the way from Queensland, Australia, these guys know how to deliver a powerful and emotional performance that'll hit you right in the feels.

Lead vocalist Joel Birch is not afraid to open up about his battles with mental health and the ups and downs of life on tour. This raw honesty adds a genuine and authentic touch to their music. But it’s not just about the tunes - The Amity Affliction's live show is a whole experience, or rather, a heartfelt connection with their fans. Having toured with the likes of Currents and Dying Wish in the past, they’re a band not to miss.

8. Dead Pony

Stage: Festival Republic stage

Day: Sunday 25th August

Dead Pony are raw and rough around the edges - but that’s what makes them truly special. What's really cool about Dead Pony is their DIY ethos. They've had to deal with the crazy high costs of recording, but that hasn't stopped them from staying true to their musical vision. They're not letting social media pressures dictate their music. They're doing it their own way, and that’s something you can’t ignore.

Their live performances bring bags of energy and a determination to break norms. Trust us, seeing them live at Leeds Festival will be an experience you won't forget. So make sure they're on your list.

9. Bad Nerves

Stage: Festival Republic stage

Day: Saturday 24th August

Having supported The Darkness late last year, as well as The Hives on a brief run, the five-piece Bad Nerves is all about ferociously fast, distorted pop songs that will remind you of the Ramones and The Strokes. They’re making serious waves in punk rock, so much so, that the likes of Billie Joe Armstrong have given them kudos!

When it comes to live shows, Bad Nerves are known for bringing high-octane, raw and chaotic energy that’s seriously in your face. If that’s what you’re all about, then Bad Nerves are the ones you’ll want on your roster.
