Saturday saw Newcastle rockers Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (also thankfully known as Pigs x7) take to the stage at the O2 Ritz in Manchester as part of their Ultra World tour, which would also see them venturing to the US and Europe later this year.
Supported by Bonnacons of Doom and Lambrini Girls, we sent regular contributor Christina to take some snaps of the show!
Pigs x7
The headline act of the night, Pigs x7 are a 5 piece heavy metal band which got their start with their first single back in 2012. Now, over 10 years on and a recent album release, they see themselves on a worldwide tour to take their unique sound and performance style all across the globe. Let's take a look at what you may have missed.
Bonnacons of Doom
Self-proclaimed "Trans-Pennine hypnotics" Bonnacons of Doom were one of two support acts that Pigs x7 brought along with them on their tour, and were a spectacle unto their own. Combining the mystical with the electronic all while donning some truly iconic mirror masks, Bonnacons of Doom are an act you have to see to be believed.
Lambrini Girls
The second supporters for the show were punk rockers Lambrini Girls, bringing their all with their brand of angry, high energy performances which vent both their frustrations at a failing society and their love and support for the queer community. Having formed in lockdown and already seeing incredible features in Rolling Stone and NME, if there's one take-away from this night it's that Lambrini Girls are one to watch.
